Sharing Their Story
Celebrating Their Life

Civil Funeral Celebrant

Anthony Trivino

Through my work as a celebrant I help bereaved families create unique ceremonies for their loved ones and officiate at the cremation or the burial to ensure the family’s wishes are carried out. I can officiate non-religious and semi-religious ceremonies including prayers and scripture readings should you wish.

I also undertake ashes and memorial ceremonies, bespoke eulogy writing and funeral ceremony pre-planning.

I am committed to reflecting back the character of the person we are celebrating. In the service I seek to incorporate many voices through poetry, music and stories.

Since 2005 as well as a celebrant I have been working internationally as a professional public speaker, host and entertainer in hotels, resorts and cruises (see www.tonyvino.co.uk ). I bring this public speaking specialism into each service to help create a friendly, safe atmosphere which is quietly joyful whilst reflecting the solemnity of the occasion. I believe in the healing power that comes through shared moments of laughter as well as tears.

I work across the North-West, as well as Cheshire and Staffordshire.

If you decide to use my services for your funeral the cost is a flat fee of £195. This covers all time and costs for meetings, preparing the eulogy as well as conducting the ceremony. This fee is included in what is called the ‘disbursements’ on the funeral director’s invoice, if you use a funeral director.

With You Each Step of The Journey...

I will work with you to create the fitting tribute to your loved one and be with you on the day to host & officiate. As you will experience, my style is relaxed, friendly and professional.

Pre-Funeral

On the lead up to the funeral we meet to plan the ceremony. We discuss the service style, tone and content such as poems, music, hymns, prayers and stories. From there I create the eulogy, a personal tribute and biography of your loved one. Once I have sent you the draft ceremony plan we communicate again to make any final touches.

The Service

On the day of the funeral I will be there to greet you, your family and loved ones. As well as to lead the ceremony I am there to make sure everything goes smoothly before and afterwards.

Afterwards

I am often available to attend the post funeral reception. A few days after the funeral I send you a presentation copy of the service to keep.

My Background as a Storyteller

As a Celebrant I am neither religious minister nor an atheist/humanist. Therefore I can accommodate religious content, be it a hymn or a prayer as well as keep the ceremony non religious.

I come from a performance and writing background, having worked for over 20 years as an entertainer, actor, and after dinner speaker. Whether for a funeral or the stage I can weave stories together that are both profound and moving.

Working with adults and children from diverse cultures and backgrounds has given me a great understanding of people.   I have pastoral and person centred training, am empathic and able to offer support and guidance at stressful and sensitive times, as well as a creative approach.

"I just wanted to thank you for the way in which you helped to plan and the way in which you conducted Geoff's service. You made the whole process very easy and not at all stressful. The calm and reverent manner in which you conducted the service was exactly what the mourners appreciated. There were many comments to me afterwards how how much people appreciated your work and how well the service had gone."
